कंचन कलस बिचित्र सँवारे।

गजमनि रुचि बहु चौक पुराईं।।8.3

स्थानानि च निरस्यान्तां नन्दीग्रामादितः परम।
सिंचन्तु पृथिवीं कृत्स्नां हिमशीतेन वारिणा।।7
ततोsभ्यवकिरन्त्वन्ये लाजै: पुष्पैश्च सर्वतः।
समुच्छ्रितपताकास्तु रथ्या: पुरवरोत्तमे।।8
शोभयन्तु च वे वेश्मानि सूर्यस्योदयनं प्रति।

भगवान श्री राम जी के लंका विजय कर अयोध्या आगमन पर अयोध्या के लोगो ने अपने अपने घरों को विभिन्न प्रकार के सुन्दर सुन्दर रत्नों मणियों तोरणों आदि से सजाया रंगोली और चौक से दीवारों और दरवाजों को सजाया सोने के कलश दीपक के साथ अपने दरवाजो पर रखकर मालाओं वन्दनवारों ध्वजों पताकाओं (झंडों वैनरों पोस्टरों ) से घरों द्वारों और गलियों को सजाया गया गलियों में ठंडे और सुंगधित जल का छिड़काव कर पुष्पो से सजाया गया ।अयोध्या नगर के सभी स्त्री पुरुष युवक युवतियों और बच्चे सुन्दर वस्त्र आभूषण से सज धज कर श्रीराम के स्वागत और दर्शन के लिए हर्ष और खुसी से गाजे बाजे के साथ नृत्य और मधुर गान करते हुए प्रसन्न हो प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे।
